How lucky am I?
On the weekend, I hosted a Live Demo Morning Tea, with 25 wonderful followers. My first one in over 5 years.
All hungry to learn about assembling this layered cake...or were they just hungry for the delicious morning tea? I'll never know...
This was one of my favourite cakes to date, the colours and flavour combos are very me.
Let me run you through the details...
4 layers of soft fluffy vanilla and chocolate cake, sandwiched with white chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream, highlighted with a little tart strawberry filling and a sprinkling of crunchy crumble.
The finish on the outside was a soft pink to white ombre buttercream, with a pressed flower heart detail, topped with stunning pink fresh roses and swirls and a timber 'love' topper....completely dreamy!
I love giving away the Demo cake as a door prize..it always adds to the excitement at the end, and Judy was the lucky person on the day. Nothing better than that surprise and smile as you call out their name.
