EDIT..I have updated this recipe as there has been some inconsistent results. New recipe is fantastic with the same method.
Please note the video has the same instructions however stick to the written recipe (2 eggs and oven 165/330 deg is correct)
This one is for Lily....
Over the next couple of months, I will be sharing some of my favourite recipes to make when I need something fast and easy to take for a crowd of people.
These will all be great for a morning tea, picnic etc. and will take minimal time with basic ingredients.
My first pick are these Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars, which can be cut into any size you like.
They are a little chewy in the centre, crisp on the outside and no one will be able to say no.

Ok, first we need to get your tin or baking tray lined.
I like to butter the base and sides a little, then line with baking paper.
That way you know its going to slide out easily.
Just run a longer peice up one side, over the base and up the other side.
Then cut two more pieces to cover the two short ends. That way, once the slice has cooled, you can use the long sides of the baking paper to lift it out carefully.
Melt your butter first so it has time to cool a little while preparing everything else.
Next, measure out all of your ingredients so they are ready to go.
Check out this simple tutorial to see how easily it all comes together.
To change it up a little you can use your favourite choc chips, a mix of white, milk and dark or some chopped chocolate chunks. Maybe replace them with M&Ms.
Even a drizzle of melted chocolate on top if you're an absolute chocolate lover.
These are perfect to get the kids involved too.
I hope you enjoy baking them, I would love to hear how you go.
